Turning Pages, Finding Perspective

Amidst the constant motion of work, graduate school, and life’s unpredictable moments, reading became more than a pastime — it became a form of grounding. The books I read in 2024 offered me clarity when things felt uncertain, perspective when decisions seemed complex, and resilience when the days grew long. I’m deeply grateful for the time spent with these pages and the wisdom they continue to offer.
What stood out most was the shared humanity woven through each story and idea. Whether the authors wrote about leadership, psychology, innovation, or purpose, they reminded me that none of us faces challenges entirely alone. Every obstacle, every doubt, and every moment of perseverance has been experienced before by someone who found a way through — and had the generosity to leave behind a map in the form of words.
The books on the bottom row of my reading list, in particular, left a lasting impression. They didn’t just inform how I think — they changed how I show up. They taught me that growth often comes disguised as discomfort, that progress is rarely linear, and that curiosity is a quiet form of courage.
As I look back on the year, I’m reminded of one of my favorite quotes from Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” These books, and the lessons within them, helped me continue — not just with endurance, but with renewed intention and gratitude for the journey itself.
Here’s to another year of learning, reflecting, and finding meaning in the stories that guide us forward.
